Practice update w/c 19th December

Our team at Temple House Practice, like so many other healthcare providers at present, is currently facing significant demand.

We are doing our utmost to continue to provide the best service for all our patients with patient and staff safety being our top priority. Our phone lines are extremely busy, and our receptionists are doing the best they can – please be kind.

We are also experiencing GP sickness which is impacting the availability of appointments. Please use your surgery considerately – appointments can be made face-to-face, over the phone, or online . You many also wish to consider other options including seeking advice from your local pharmacy or visiting www.111.nhs.uk. More information can be found at www.bswtogether.org.uk/yourhealth

We would ask all patients to please be patient with us as we work through these challenging times. We are grateful for your ongoing support.

IT Update

Dr Link

Our Dr Link feature will no longer be available from 14th December 2022 as this product has been withdrawn. We are working with the local Keynsham Primary Care Network to find a suitable alternative.

Online Appointments

We do offer patients the functionality to book appointments online through our clinical system SystmOne, please ask at reception for further details of how to sign up if you do not already have online access.

Strep A

We are understandably seeing very high levels of worried parents enquiring about their child’s symptoms due to the increased levels of Group A Strep circulating.

This is causing the surgery to be incredibly busy and may mean you have to wait longer to get through. It may also mean that we direct you to speak to 111.

Please be kind to our reception staff who are trying to ensure that every call is answered.

If your child is unwell and you’re not sure if you need to seek medical help, please start with the Healthier Together App or website.

This will help you decide whether your child needs medical help or you can safely treat at home.
